Extended Deadline: Upgrade to API Keys by Dec 31, 2025

We've heard you need more time for the switchover, so we're extending the deadline for transitioning to API keys.

Rate limit enforcement on data.gov.sg will now kick in on December 31, 2025. This gives you additional time to integrate API keys into your applications without service disruption.

Why upgrade to API keys now?

When you integrate API keys, you'll unlock:

Why This Matters

From 31 December 2025 onwards, we will be implementing rate limits across our platform. By signing up now and obtaining your API keys, you'll ensure uninterrupted access to integrations with datasets on the platforms.

How to Get Started For New Users

1. Visit data.gov.sg

2. Click on the login modal [at the top right hand corner of the page]

3. Click on the Sign Up button

4. Fill up the user form, and use your organisations' email address where possible

5. Input your email address to receive an OTP

6. Click on Create API Key

7. Request your developer or production API keys based on your requirements. Ensure that you are as detailed as possible when detailing how you will use your API key to ensure more targetted support.
